Ken Shalliker gave a fascinating talk on 'Metamorphose', the bringing to life of dead bonsai and morphing them into another variety. First he converted a Pyracantha into a Chinese elm, then a Syzygium into a Larch planting and restyled a Larch that started life as a Chamaecyparis 'Hinoki Cypress' three years ago. Ken's way of doing things is so different from anyone we have had demonstrating at the club.  He involved every single member, his style is so laid back and unpretentious and very interesting.
